Our Story
Blue Oceans HR Services was founded by Mr. Nilakantan Govindan, an accomplished Human Resource leader with nearly three decades of diverse senior-level management experience. His career has spanned various sectors, including Retail (multi-sector), Oil & Gas Exploration, Transportation, Organized Retail of Apparel, Pharma, Iron & Steel, Consumer Durables, and Office Automation. He has also gained international exposure during his tenure at a greenfield flat steel manufacturing facility in the UAE, an organization involved in shipping and trading.

Mr. Nilakantan expertise lies in crafting effective people strategies, guiding organizations through intricate transitions, and fostering empowered and talented workforces within a global cultural context. Over the past 15 years, he has held senior positions reporting directly to business heads and the group Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO). During this time, he has led teams of domain experts in talent management, compensation & benefits, performance management, talent acquisition, learning & development, and HR operations. He has collaborated closely with business leaders to align talent strategies, leadership development, and performance and reward philosophies with the overarching organizational framework.
He has provided guidance, frameworks, and leadership in areas such as mergers & business integration, cultural transformation, enhancing people intelligence for informed decision-making, and championing large-scale change management interventions. His work involves close collaboration with cross-functional and multidisciplinary teams across the organization.
